Head of Partnership Sales / Business Development. 

(for a role based in Chamonix, offering the chance to work part-time remotely)


Who are we?

UTMB Group is the global leader of trail running events.
This sports property based in Chamonix-Mont-Blanc in the French Alps, is launching the UTMB® World Series in 2022 in partnership with IRONMAN Group. UTMB® World Series will be the number one trail running series on Earth, bringing together about 30 leading international events to give all trail runners the chance to experience the UTMB® adventure across the world.


Who are we looking for?

UTMB Group is looking for an experienced international sponsorship expert who will gather the most exciting brands on Earth as partners of the UTMB® World Series. A true sales professional with a wide-ranging network of sponsorship decision-makers in EMEA and beyond.


Your mission: 

As Partnership Sales Senior Manager, you will report directly to the Commercial director. Your key task will be to identify, nurture, negotiate and close global or multi-territory sponsorship agreements with the UTMB® World Series and its various properties, according to the set objectives.

  • Creating direct connections with C-level marketing decision makers within international brands and convert them into UTMB® World Series partners. You will be responsible for leveraging in-house and external resources, as well as your own professional network, to develop a solid pipeline of leads. You will use UTMB Group’s CRM tools.

  • Offer crafting and presentation: you will help conceive and personally finalize stunning sales materials and presentations tailored to the needs of each specific business sector and individual brands.

  • Negotiation and closing: You will make sure that all partnership leads are smoothly converted into new actual partners by driving the contract negotiation to its conclusion.


Work location

  • Chamonix-Mont-Blanc. Partial remote work possible



  • +10 yrs of BtoB marketing/advertising/sponsorship sales, in the sports and entertainment industry, with familiarity in digital marketing

  • Solid credentials and references confirming the above

  • University or Business school degree

  • Advanced user of Powerpoint, Word

  • Intermediate user of Excel

  • Proficient in the English language

  • French and/or German is a plus



  • Open and outgoing, you have excellent presentation skills

  • Hardworking, target-oriented, organized, team spirit, creative.

  • Interested in outdoor sports and environmental/CSR matters

  • Travel may be required
