Partnership Sales Manager North Africa

Department:Revenue & Marketing

Reporting to: Head of Partnerships

Location:Marseille

 

Role

The role of International Partnership Sales Manager will be reporting to the Head of Partnerships to pro- actively support and contribute to the partnership sales strategy. The team is responsible for developing, negotiating and selling global and local partnerships at Olympique de Marseille.

The ideal candidate will have proven track record in global sponsorship/partnership sales and have a deep understanding of the sports marketing industry. We are searching for someone who is keen to develop their career within a dynamic organisation with bright and thrilling future.

 

Key responsibilities

The Partnership Sales Manager candidate will:

  • Deliver set annual sales targets

  • Identify and source new partnership opportunities domestically and internationally with brands

    directly and through agency relationships

  • Identify new business channels to target for partnership sales

  • Manage agency relationships to assist in brokering sales

  • Compile and analyse sales figures to deliver regular reports

  • Develop and grow sales pipeline

  • Be up-to-date with industry news and trends to deliver regular reports

  • Deliver content for sales and marketing collateral to make the partnership sales process evolve

    regularly

  • Liaise with design teams to deliver bespoke collateral for sales pitches

  • Work together with partnership sales team to achieve the overall partnership sales budget

  • Nurture effective business relationships with key decision makers in the industry

  • Create good team, customer and client relations at all times

  • Ensure regular communication and cooperation with internal stakeholders (Partnership

    Activation, Digital Media, Content, Events) to develop contractual obligations in line with business capabilities and objectives

 

Skills, experience & requirements

  • Min 3-5 years experience in partnership sales within the sports industry

  • Strong network within industry stakeholders (brands, agencies, leagues, clubs)

  • Proven track record of sales within an international context

  • Experience in working with “C” level executives

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

  • Ability to work flexible hours, attend matches and travel when required, sometimes on short

    notice

  • Strong commercial acumen

  • English: fluent

  • French: advanced level is minimum required

  • A third language, among the most used in football industry (Arabic, Chinese for example) will be

    appreciated
