Definition / Objective of function / Position summary (brief version)

 

  • Ensures the commercial development of its Brand(s) throughout the Benelux territory.
  • Defines and lead the sales policy of its brand(s) and ensures a strong operational presence on the field. 
  • No team Management on this role

Most significant responsibilities

 

  • Develop and implement sales strategies in the defined territory (product selection, proposal adaptation to the pricing policy, distribution channel) according to overall Brand strategy.
  • Propose his/her budget/sales forecast for the Brand on the territory
  • Act as the key account manager of the Brand for the defined territory
  • Collaborate with Key Accounts for line selection and sales follow-up
  • Develop networking contacts, key accounts and retail sales
  • Collaborate with other departments (HQ back office and credit control, Product development, ..) and provide feedback from the markets to accomplish product development goals
  • Work in partnership with the marketing team of the french subsidiary and a local recognized PR agency based in Bruxelles to develop marketing initiatives on the territory
  • Evaluate the market and develop account relationships and new partners
  • Travel to key trade shows, exhibitions and conferences, domestically and internationally 
  • Showroom based in Bruxelles

Characteristics of function / Skills (requirement profile)

 

  • Minimum 5 to 15 year-experience in sales management on the Benelux market ( Belgium, Holland, Luxemburg) in the fashion sector. 
  • University degree in Business or equivalent
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and work well under pressure
  • Knowledge and background of international sporting goods / Fashion industry
  • Good leadership skills who likes contact, takes initiative, is flexible and reliable
  • Ability to analyse market conditions and respond with appropriate strategies and direction to increase sales within the market
  • Good understanding of wholesale business environment on the territory and solid negotiation skills
  • Available for some international travel
  • Fluent in French / Dutch ( Wallon / Flamand)
