Scope of work:

Overall objective:

  • Support the Media, Sponsorship & Digital Intelligence Managers in analysing markets, industries, sports, prospects and clients, to deliver value for the Football, Summer Sports, Winter Sports and Personal & Corporate Fitness business units, across all territories and properties of Infront’s portfolio

 

Specific tasks        

  • Provide support in terms of data collection and analysis (e.g. competitive landscape analysis, fan profiling and segmentation) and presentation material preparation with regards to rights-out sales and rights-in acquisitions
  • Assist key account management teams with regards to fulfilment reports, after sales services and contractual obligations
  • Help develop state-of-the-art, property- and market-specific sales materials (e.g., fact sheets, trailers, sales presentations) and reports
  • Gather data about consumers, competitors, and market conditions, and research market and industry trends and patterns
  • Measure the effectiveness of commercial programs and compare with internal and external benchmarks
  • Compile and analyse data points and information to find ways to sell more and better
  • Devise and evaluate methods for collecting data, such as surveys, questionnaires or opinion polls
  • Develop, conduct, and interpret specific fan user surveys (online and on-site)
  • Screen the market and identify rights-out sales prospects and leads (e.g., sponsors, virtual advertisers, MRLs)
  • Convert complex data and findings into understandable tables, graphs, and written reports
  • Prepare reports and present results and recommendations to Intelligence Managers
  • Create detailed presentations of findings, write reports and white papers for internal / external use
  • Organise and store all data and research procedures
  • Cooperate with the Digital and Business Development teams, and the subsidiaries, on insights and intelligence matters

Qualification requirements:

Educational background:

  • Advanced education (university bachelor degree)

 

Experience:

  • 2/3 years of experience in the sports (or entertainment) industry, preferably in a research or intelligence function

 

Skills & competencies:

  • Extensive understanding of the media and sponsoring landscapes
  • Data-driven person with in-depth knowledge of research and insight methodologies, data capturing and knowledge creation and transfer
  • Strong analytic, communication, writing and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft CRM
  • Expertise in performing statistical analysis and ability to manipulate large, complex data sets using a variety of software applications (e.g., SPSS, SAS)
  • Fluency with media and sponsorship valuations
  • Good understanding of sales processes, pitches and after-sales services
  • Sound organizational skills
